Deep, Woodsy Scent

As a vanilla lover, I was really excited to try 18 Vanilla Nera and was expecting a vanilla dominant scent given the name of the fragrance, but unfortunately it doesn't have as much vanilla presence as I had hoped. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful scent and I still like it, but it is primarily a spicy and woodsy scent with a soft patchouli in the background. It smells nice, but not as vanilla-y as the brand's marketing and description would imply. If you're expecting a vanilla dominant scent, you may be disappointed, but if you like woodsy scents, then you may enjoy this as long as you like patchouli. 18 Vanilla Nera smells sophisticated, high quality, and well blended, but I wanted to leave this review to let people know that the fragrance is very spicy and woodsy with the vanilla in the base as a supporting note to round out the fragrance rather than the vanilla being the star of the show. I'm happy that the vanilla in here smells like vanilla pod rather than the foody type of vanillas, but I still wish the vanilla note was stronger.

Beautiful scent

Such a rich and luxurious scent. Not at all a juvenile vanilla scent. Smells expensive!

She grew on me

Okay, so 22 Orris is one of the BEST fragrances I've ever sniffed and it was a quick love for me. 18 Vanilla Nera is now in my top 2 Fall and Winter scents but it was more of a slow born because she is BOLD! I'm so glad I kept trying it and wearing it on my skin because now I absolutely love it. It makes me feel warm, sensual and chic. I definitely find this to be more complex than 22 Orris, slightly more niche. She's a winner and I'll keep repurchasing for sure!

Not only is the packaging beautiful, I have never gotten so many compliments wearing this scent. Obsessed.
